Job Description
- Ensure that all booking in process and procedures are followed correctly from door to floor, and that all deliveries are booked in and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Support the warehouse team in achieving their daily objectives, and ensure that deliveries are available for departmental replenishment in a timely manner.
- Work with senior management team to take responsibility to plan stock replenishment ordering for all departments.
- Work alongside the department managers in monitoring stock usages ensuring no “stock outs” and to also deal with over stocking, especially short date life issues
- Plan and organize deliveries with good inwards agreeing stock locations and tracking stock levels via the GTS & Comsys systems
- Achieve high levels of personal productivity and pace, getting things done quickly, efficiently and to a high standard
- Manage and monitor stock transfers between departments tracking cost transfers to allow
accurate monitoring of margins. - Process stock adjustments including goods for own use, damaged stock, write offs and returns
to suppliers. - Check and control all purchase orders and delivery / invoice notes, monitoring cost prices.
- Flagging variances and taking action on discrepancies.
- Generate reports from the GTS & Comsys systems for management review.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working within a stock control role, controlling purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices; and identifying and resolving discrepancies
- In-depth working knowledge of GTS or computerized stock control systems, with ability to learn new systems quickly
- Stock admin experience in a retail environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word and Outlook
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
