Job Description

We are engineering agency company that serves different industries such as metal & steel, ferroalloys, power, oil & gas, Cement, Plastic…..etc. 

We are hiring sales engineers to sell complex scientific and technological products or services to businesses. They must have extensive knowledge of the products’ parts and functions and must understand the scientific processes that make these products work.

Duties & responsibilities:

     Your day-to-day tasks are likely to involve:

  • Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region
  • Travelling to visit potential clients
  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements
  • Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
  • Calculating client quotations
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
  • Offering after-sales support services
  • Administering client accounts
  • Analyzing costs and sales
  • Preparing reports for the top managers.
  • Meeting regular sales targets.
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data
  • coordinating sales projects
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Solving client problems
  • Helping in the design of custom-made products
  • Providing training and producing support material for the sales tea

Required skills:

  • A solid technical background.
  • Sound judgement and good business sense.
  • Team working ability.
  • The ability to build relationships with clients quickly.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and tenacity
  • High computer skills.
  • Awareness of international trading incoterms.
  • Increasingly, foreign language skills are in demand.
  • Willing to travel 80% of the time.
  • A full driving license – preferred if you drive your own car.

Education & experience:

  • Mechanical & electrical engineers are preferred but also any other engineering or science degrees are also welcomed.
  • Computer software certificates are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or purchasing is a must. 
  • Excellent English is a must. 
  • Those who can speak French, Italian or German language will have a plus.
