Job Description

Job Purpose

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. He/ She staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. He/ She establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Sales Executives.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Setting forecasts and allocating budgets – AOP for the year.
  • Ensuring achievement of Sales and budgets per customer targeted and product allocated.
  • Setting up an appropriate MIS system by following up with the Sales team about competition, sales achievement and new technologies.
  • Ensuring Sales forecast achievements of each supplier.
  • Adhering to the strategic plans of AMICO as discussed and agreed upon with the Business Development Manager and Country Sales Manager.
  • Ensures the achievement of the budgeted GPM.

Marketing

  • Prepares and sets the marketing budget in discussion with the BDM and CSM.
  • Ensures ample participation in ortho congresses and conferences as agreed upon in the beginning of the year.
  • Ensures that the marketing activities are conducted as planned and also sends in a regular report on the same to the CSM and BDM.
  • Prepares product training schedules for the customers in coordination with the Sales team and suppliers.

Development

  • Conducts joint field visits to identify training needs, resolve field issues and coach team members.
  • Initiates team development activities (technical and sales training) and coordinates with suppliers and internal training team to ensure the same.

Team Building

  • Builds a strong motivated team through an unbiased objective based performance drive.
  • Builds career path for the team members and supports the member in reaching personal goals.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacology, veterinarian sciences, biomedical/electronic engineering or medicine.
  • 5 - 10 years experience in similar role.
  • Sound sales track record experience in Orthopedics in one of theses specialties (Arthroplasty / Arthroscopy / Wound) is a plus.
  • Good communication skills (Written and Verbal) in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to build relations and persuasive skills.
  • Business orientation with flair for Sales.
  • Driving license.
