Job Description
Roles And Responsibilities
- Requires 5+ years of experience in an IT Operations/development role to Install, Configure and Customize Flexera or other similar products
- Know how to optimize and recommend the utilization of IT Assets
- Manage software assets across hybrid environments to optimize spend and minimize compliance and security risk.
- Automate discovery of technology assets across end user devices, data centers and SaaS applications.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently under pressure, prioritize, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and process discipline
- Mechanically inclined, with an aptitude and understanding of the technical aspects of IT equipment (servers, storage, network switches)
- Experience working within a datacenter environment.
- General knowledge of the various types of IT hardware.
- Experience managing inventory in a stockroom
- Prior Asset Management experience
- License Management & Controls:
- Maintain software license inventories, including the assignment and harvesting of licenses.
- Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing and services.
- Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection by ensuring that maintenance, support, and renewals are managed in advance of their expiration.
- Collect information for budgeting, software compliance and inventory, contract summaries and cost comparisons.
- Assist with planning and budgeting of capacity; establish roadmaps including lifecycle and refresh strategies.
- Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
- Procurement and Vendor Management:
- In partnership with the Director of Partner Services, assist in contract negotiations, including leading efforts on smaller contracts, assisting Product Owners in assessing contract options and guiding through Legal and Financial approval process.
- Assist in vendor performance assessment, reporting, and remediation, including tracking and management of Service Level Agreements.
- Develop Operational Reporting:
- Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance and inventory, contracts, and cost.
- Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain software-related information.
- Respond to requests from customers, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT software asset queries.
Job Requirements
Skill / Competencies / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Install, Configure and Customize IT Ticketing and Asset Management applications like ServiceNow ITSM, BMC Remedy ITSM, Microfocus, or other similar products
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills required
- Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Ability to drive results in a team-oriented environment and work independently
- Experience with IT asset management and discovery tools
- Experience with Technology Infrastructure.
Preferred
- Work experience in DevOps/Agile delivery model
- Exposure to Building tools like Jenkins etc.
