Job Description

 
As Merchant acquisition team lead, you will be responsible for the acquisition, activation, retention & growth of Stryve merchant base in line with set KPIs

  • Manage a team of 3 merchant acquisition executives including pipeline creation, assignment of leads, KPI setting, progress reporting & performance assessment
  • Onboarding merchants to work with existing suppliers for B2B payments – Lead by example
  • Demonstrating Stryve value proposition to merchants & how it adds value to their daily business needs
  • Acquire new merchants for business expense products, B2B payments as well as credit limits
  • Manage accounts in all assigned territories with a view to securing merchant participation, retention, and driving transactional volumes
  • Build and maintain relationships with merchants and support them throughout the year 
  • Utilize available data effectively to retain merchants year on year
  • Communicate and sell new products and initiatives to the merchant base
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including daily activity, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to KPIs
  • Provide merchant feedback to the product team to enhance offerings and introduce new features
  • Prepare reports on market performance and competitor landscape

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of business development, account management and team management experience in B2B across FMCG or Pharma or Electronics, Horeca or e-commerce
  • Strong negotiator with an outgoing and motivated outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude to take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment
  • You should be familiar with the territory’s business environment and trends
  • You should have a car and know your territory in and out as we spend a lot of time on the road
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • You should be fluent in English; other languages is a plus
