Job Description
• Designing new products through research, design, applying new concepts and technologies, prototype testing, development .
• Developing the current products through modifying the plastic formulation based on scientific research and cooperation with the academic institutions.
• Development projects included improving the product mechanical properties to meet the requirements of construction applications, improving the fire resistance properties, substituting the imported raw materials by locally supplied raw materials and developing the formulation for cost reduction.
• Proving technical support to the customers through working within a cross functional team with the production, sales and marketing departments
• Analyzing and updating the customer surveys to find improvement opportunities and handling the technical issues
• Quality control responsibility. This includes inspection the raw materials and the final products, preparing daily technical reports and applying the QC tools to solve the quality related problems. Starting this responsibility included building quality control system through designing sampling system, testing, setting the acceptance criteria based of the product type and building up the R&D and QC laboratory
Job Requirements
• Bachelor or master’s degree of Chemical Engineering, or chemistry
• 3-5 years of experience in polymer industry , extruded PVC is preferable
• Experience in quality management system ISO-9001
• Proficient use of Mac OS, Windows and MS Office: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English and Arabic.
