Job Description
- Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budgets and project payment plans with required contribution from operations manager finance department
- Ensures that the electrical portion of the estimated Balance of Plant cost is optimized by providing accurate project layouts and bills of material takeoffs with constructability and operability needs
- Serves as an interface between the Electrical Engineering team and internal clients, including the Construction, Operations, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, to facilitate interdepartmental relations
- Confirm project specifications (with project team) by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Manages, expedites, and supports consultants’ and contractor document submittals, budgets, and schedules
- Interprets plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction
- Evaluate and confirm (with project team) the technical designs and drawing produced from technical department according to site condition
- Leads or participates in project meetings and conference calls
- Confirm and maintain quality assurance plan (with quality officers and QHSE head) regarding project implementation
- Plan the project team needed trainings for successful project execution
- Provide technical reports to the operations manager in relation to project schedule, needs, problems and overall issues
- Maintains project database by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
Job Requirements
- Engineering degree with minimum 6-year experience in construction site work and/or project managerial work
- Skills must include developing Budgets, Coaching, Supervision, Staffing, Management Proficiency, Process Improvement, Tracking Budget Expenses, Self-Development, Planning, Performance Management, Inventory Control, Verbal Communication
- Knowledge of multiple power networks from generation to distribution and regulation; small-scale systems; renewable energy systems; and hybrid systems.
- Excellent written and spoken English required
- Good technical reporting and computer skills
- Good planning and scheduling skills backed up with a well-known project management software experience
- Good human interaction skills
- PMP certification is plus
