The Teamhead Sports Marketing GCC will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic plans to drive growth and profitability for PUMA GCC. This position requires a deep understanding of sports culture and the ability to establish strong relationships with professional athletes, sports organisations, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop strategic plans to ensure PUMA GCC's continued successful growth and profitability.
- Conduct market research throughout the year, analyse our organisation’s positioning in the market and recommend the next steps from a sports marketing perspective.
- Identify, liaise, evaluate and negotiate new acquisitions, licensing deals and strategic business partnerships that are in line with Puma’s mid-long term goals.
- Lead a planning process in which all milestones and dates are clearly understood from a sports marketing perspective.
- Evaluate different parameters that may indicate the need for redirection of target assets.
- Inform the overall shape of the sports marketing portfolio, aligned to the vision and strategy of the brand and business.
- Leverage sports marketing assets, athletes, and partnerships to drive growth while maximising and modernising contractual marketing rights appropriately.
- Good understanding of internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues.
- Monitor sports marketing contracts and draft contracts accurately for the sports marketing department.
- Manage sports marketing budget effectively within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each category/key initiative.
- Responsible for event management from a sports marketing perspective throughout the year.
- Lead potential collaborations with celebrities for relevant campaigns throughout the year.
- Be the senior point of contact for assets and athletes to deal with their requirements and PUMA-related needs successfully.
- Up to 50% travel and proactive attendance to asset matches and competitions required.
YOUR TALENT
Education:
- Education: University Degree, preferably in Marketing
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in relationship management in sports organisations and professional athletes is desired.
Capabilities:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and sports disciplines effectively with a proven track record of end results.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, very fluent/native level of Arabic and English is a must.
- Extensive network of the sports category and marketplace.
- Passionate about sports and sports culture.
- Strong reporting skills and understanding of RoI calculations and methodologies.
