Job Summary

The Senior Facilities Management Engineer oversees the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. This position is responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.  Coordinates and integrates maintenance engineering functions with those of the design, maintenance, engineering, and operations departments.




Job Responsibilities 1
  • Develops, implements and directs a preventive and predictive maintenance program.
  • Supervises the implementation of minor repairs and defects of the equipment, plant and buildings, as and when required. 
  • Executes renovations of existing facilities to ensure the delivery of the required output on the time frame given.
     


Job Responsibilities 2
  1. Generate a complete schedule for the planned and preventative maintenance activities for all plant and systems contained in and around the Client premises.
  2. Plan and schedule the execution of maintenance tasks with minimal impact to staff, clients, visitors and residents of the Client facility.
  3. Manage the daily coordination and communications to close out and/or update for the CAFM.
  4. Estimate labour and materials requirements for the planned and preventative maintenance activities
  5. Develop and maintain procedures and ensure they are followed in order to effectively manage the planned schedule of work.
  6. Design and develop Crystal reports and Concept Reports using scripting language and SQL
  7. Ensures speedy response for all “on-call” maintenance job are proactively given with quick works undertaken with minimal supervision.
  8. Maintains and keeps records readily available for viewing both for past maintenance works done as well as future schedule of preventive maintenance works. Documents recording all repair works and associated details (date, time, location, materials, cause, expenditures, etc. must be filed in good organization and accessibility for future auditing.
  9. Conducts on-job-training to direct reports to ensure required competencies are acquired.
  10. Monitors performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge in building facility maintenance (Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Mechanical and etc.)


• Knowledge of local codes and regulations


• Knowledge on the different materials, tools and equipment


• Knowledge of methods used in the maintenance of building equipment.



• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
