Job Description
- Implement the university and college's general policies regarding the academic field.
- guide students with the college’s regulations and bylaws and its executive rules.
- Supervise the preparation and approval of academic schedules for the college's programs.
- Supervise the implementation of study plans.
- Supervising programs and activities provided to students.
- Establish the necessary procedures to monitor student attendance and follow up on their regularity.
- Building and updating student databases.
- Follow up on students’ grievances and problems and work to solve them.
- Chairing disciplinary committees for violating students and implementing regulations against them.
- Supervise academic advising in the college and prepare schedules for academic advisors for each academic year.
- Supervising examinations and approving their results.
- Ensure the availability of educational resources and study references for various college programs.
- Contribute to developing the capabilities of faculty members.
- Follow up on the development of educational programs according to labor market needs.
- Follow up on student affairs regarding their matters in the college (admission policy, registration, social, cultural, and sports activities).
- Participate with the college dean in evaluating the performance of faculty members.
- Prepare annual achievement reports for all units under student and academic affairs.
- Supervise the quality assurance unit in the college and work towards obtaining academic accreditation for the college.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in specialty in related college programs
- Designated as Professor/Associate Professor with minimum Three (3) years of professional experience as a vice dean for students and academic affairs in private universities
- Has good communication skills and the ability to motivate others and coordinate work.
