Job Description
- Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, and social media.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, challenges, and budget constraints.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Sales Presentations and Demos:
- Conduct product presentations and software demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of the company’s software and how it meets client needs.
- Customize sales pitches based on the specific requirements of different industries or client types.
- Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Work closely with clients to understand their pain points and offer tailored software solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process, ensuring a positive buying experience.
- Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with potential clients to secure contracts.
- Collaborate with the legal, finance, and product teams to ensure a smooth contract negotiation and signing process.
- Consistently close deals to meet or exceed individual sales quotas.
- Account Management:
- Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction and successful implementation of the software.
- Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts and maintain relationships for future software renewals or upgrades.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and a smooth sales process.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, tracking sales activities, opportunities, and client communications.
- Provide sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales manager and leadership team.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in software sales, SaaS sales, or technology-related sales.
- Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of software solutions, cloud-based technologies, SaaS models, and how they address customer challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering value to customers.
- Negotiation and Closing Skills: Proven ability to negotiate deals and close contracts.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with internal teams (presales, marketing, product development) to drive sales success.
- CRM Experience: Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activities and manage customer data.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in selling enterprise software, SaaS, or IT services.
- Knowledge of specific software markets such as ERP, CRM, cybersecurity, or cloud services.
- Familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting platforms.
