Job Description
A Senior Business Analyst will actively work with customers to understand and analyze business needs, gather and document those business and system requirements. The system analyst will define the system's functional requirements through the use of UML. The Senior Business Analyst will manage more than one project at a time.
- Interact extensively with external or internal client
- Understand and collect information on existing or proposed systems
- Determine integration points with existing or new systems
- Identify options for potential solutions and assess them with the client for business suitability
- Translate client requirements into highly specified system briefs
- Analyze the information to develop system functions and modules
- Develop software requirements specifications document which should encompass a detailed definition of the requirements, the system functions/ modules, and the use cases
- Present the requirements to the client in order to obtain sign off on the written documentation
- Work closely with the development and usability team to make sure the client requirements are clearly understood and met
- Plan and work flexibly with the multiple project managers towards multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
- Mentor and/or assist junior systems analysts with their tasks
- Work offshore with remote clients
Job Requirements
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum four (4) years of technical work experience, and three (3) years of analysis experience
- Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development, and analysis
- Experience producing statements of work, business requirements documents & functional specifications
- Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle
- Awareness of the business and IT strategy
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
- Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential
- Excellent communications skills needed for making presentations to small and large groups
- Excellent use of the English language; written and spoken
- Excellent use of the Arabic language; spoken
