Job Description

  • Drive growth through management of all internal processes (quoting, prototypes and product launch, lead-time expectations) and is fully responsive to customer needs.
  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities for production, quality control, and maintenance to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Utilize ERP and corporate financial systems to report performance and financial data.
  • Establish operating budgets for all areas within the plant. Monitors and controls direct and indirect costs of expense and capital budgets to meet annual operation plan and strategic deployment action plan.
  • Oversee production activities, which ensure material flow through production in support of monthly production plans. Plans and controls production capacity and resources to support product sales. Identifies needed labor and ensures that the necessary effort is applied in production areas to ensure correct flow to meet the production schedule. Optimizes inventory, capacity (capital & Labor) against service commitments.
  • Establishe and track quality and cost improvement programs.
  • Manage Kaizen and other process improvement initiatives. Utilizes Lean daily management systems to improve performance including daily GEMBA walks.

Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

  • Creates and maintains communication process within facility to ensure that all employees are fully engaged and informed, and their efforts are aligned with the business.
  • Manages processes necessary to identify and fix/diffuse employee issues and maintains positive employee relations. Coordinates with shared services (HR, Accounting, IT, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field, MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment working with engineers or a manufacturing company.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes to take a portion of a customer's print to the realized product in a cost-effective manner.
  • Understand manufacturing limitations and capabilities.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Autocad, Inventor or Solidworks 3D.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed deadline expectations.
