Job Description

Primary Purpose of the job:

  • To organize and manage the entire workshop service operation in an efficient and cost effective manner including workshop assignments, personnel, standards of performance, safety and work output to satisfy customer’s service needs.

Principal Accountability

  • Meet and exceed customer revenue, sales and profits.
  • Workshop housekeeping, ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times and is safe working environment for people working and reporting all accidents to Human Resources Department immediately.
  • To ensure that all faults on equipment for repair are correctly inspected, diagnosed and subsequent repairs are carried out to a high standard of quality expected by our principals and customer alike.
  • To ensure that quotations submitted to customers in time and that they are correct.
  • Assess staff training requirements to ensure that staff are equipped with necessary skills to perform given tasks so as to gain maximum productivity from a minimum number of staff, and advise Product support Manager accordingly in order to produce an effective training program.
  • To ensure that the existing tooling is maintained in an operable condition and where possible are kept in areas so as to ensure maximum utilization and increased productivity.
  • Participate in establishing the Department budget and work within allocated expenses by controlling costs to minimize expenditure.
  • Following Workshop Strategy for service work, prepare reports and present it to the Product Support Manager.
  • Following company Quality Measurements System requirements.

Job Requirements

Education and Certificates

  • Sc. Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other B.Sc., significant knowledge of business field is essential.

Experience

  • 7-10 Years' experience preferably in air Compressor maintenance.

Competencies

  • Knowledgeable in Air Compressors, Heavy Equipment Service operations.
  • Excellent leadership, organization and analytical skills
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Knowledge of the changing face of the industry.
  • Solid leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and customer management skills
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to analyze data for evaluation of equipment efficiencies.

  • Reads, analyzes and interprets complex documents. (Electric schematics, drawings).
  • Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement
