Senior Design Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Fighting)

OPERATIONAL

• Comply with all security procedures and commercial-in-confidence restrictions associated with work duties.
• Regularly review personal and subordinates forward program workload. Develop and frequently review priority lists of programmed tasks.
• Adopt a responsible attitude to project management and actively undertake the training of subordinate staff.
• Manage projects including organization of junior staff and project delivery to time and cost requirements.
• Check adequacy and accuracy of information and documentation produced by others.
• Liaise with other team members internal and external
• Liaise with the procurement to prepare the RFQs for the engineering material.
• Undertake Mechanical design including systems design, specifications, and schedule.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing systems.
• Attend meetings with clients, Consultants, other professionals, and organizations
• Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
• Review designs prepared by others as part of a TQM process.
• Perform peer reviews, and value engineering services.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors, review their design to ensure compliance with the project’s requirements.
• Conduct site visits upon request as per site conditions, Project Manager request, and/or Engineering Manager instructions.
• Develops and maintains a library of standard constructible details of least cost implications
