Job Description
- manage, direct, and coordinate activities of non-life operations department
- supervise, motivate , and monitor the underwriting team
- support the underwriting team in reviewing insurance applications to evaluate degree of risk involved to accept or reject applications, following company's underwriting policies: control and sign non-life related policies
- disseminate information to the team as related to products, procedures, underwriting selection, etc. review and provide feedback on proposed procedural changers or products, develop recommendations to improve department performance and efficiency
- assist in the evaluation and testing of the technical related
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Insurance or related fields with an emphasis in business studies; a masters degree and/or a professional insurance certificate/license is a preferred
- Minimum of sixteen years of experience in non-life underwriting/claims practices and procedures; good exposure to financial and statistical activities; Intensive exposure to non-life insurance underwriting type of activities
- Proven experience to prepare written instructions and procedures
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
