Job Description
- To manage an efficient administrative system for the headmaster and to facilitate and administer communication to all staff within the college, including drafting outgoing correspondence, papers, and school documents as directed.
- To line manage the administration and reception staff on both sites – including regular review and monitoring of work.
- To support the headmaster in all aspects of their duties.
- To attend meetings as and when required, prepare agendas, papers, and supporting documentation as well as take minutes and follow up action points where necessary.
- To maintain the headmaster ’s diary, arrange appointments, prioritize meetings as appropriate, and ensure the headmaster is adequately briefed.
- To make travel arrangements for the headmaster.
- To manage verbal and written communications on behalf of, and in conjunction with, the headmaster , ensuring the highest quality presentation of documents.
- To act as the first point of contact within the school for staff, parents and others seeking contact with the headmaster.
- To receive post in all matters addressed to the headmaster and draft letters to staff, parents/carers, and all other key stakeholders.
- To work alongside the headmaster and leadership team in the organization of school events.
- To provide administrative support to the leadership team as required.
- To maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- To attend open evenings and other school events as required.
- To organize workload and prioritize on a daily basis using own initiative and knowledge of work, with minimum direct supervision from the headmaster.
- To maintain relevant filing and computerized systems.
