Job Description
- Reviews all prescriptions and dispensing the right medication for the right patient (Outpatient – Inpatient) at the right time with right dose and right dosage form.
- Reviews all prescriptions and ensuring the completeness of all prescription items.
- Dispenses medication for inpatients and outpatients.
- Regular auditing on the medication carts, floor stock, narcotics, crash carts all over the hospital.
- Documents of any medication error or adverse drug reaction.
- Charges the medication on the patient’s invoice.
- Patient counseling.
- Supervises the work of all pharmacy assistants.
- On-site orientation of nurses.
- Trains of new staff (Hospital pharmacist – Pharmacy assistants).
- Compounding, preparation and labeling of medication.
- Ensures the working according to pharmacy regulations and quality standards.
- Ensures the appropriate storage criteria for medication.
- Responsible for controlling the stock.
- Gives the information about the medication use inside the hospital for all health care providers.
- Performs other related duties as may be required by the senior Pharmacist, Supervisor or pharmacy manager to effect efficient services.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, preferably with Post Graduate degree in Pharmacy.
- 0 - 1 year of experience as a Hospital pharmacist in a reputable hospital.
- Effective communication skills.

- Effective Time Management skills.
