Job Description
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of the raw materials to the factory.
- Ensure implementation the good agricultural practices and documentation.
- Ensure implementation the traceability system and documentation in Egypt.
- Ensure access good agricultural practices for farmers and agricultural group in northern Egypt.
- Planning for procurement of all commercial materials (Seeds ...) / inputs for crops materials/inputs.
- Monitor and control the raw materials and ensure that the contractual fill rate is achieved at all times and safety for each line item is maintained as agreed.
- Develop a network of connected and interdependent departments mutually and cooperatively working together to control, manage and improve the flow of product in a cost efficient way.
- Implement external/internal reports as per the contractual requirements of the supplier or farmer, which need to be reviewed continuously to ensure efficiency and compliance with new contract amendments/modifications at all times.
- Develop, implement, track and report on the Department’s quality assurance plan.
- Working with the Agronomists to direct and monitor implementation of activities within the work plan, ensuring that activities are performed to a high professional standard, effectively implemented.
- Plan daily farmers' visit and activities that would lead to product awareness and initial trial usage.
- Ensuring that the Heinz agriculture department achieves its objectives and stays on track.
- Develop a crops supply chain plan for farmers in Delta Region.
- Visit the farms to supervise and train on applications of scientific methods and appropriate cultivation on various climates; tech assistance in soil fertility, seeds, fertilizer use, production plans, land conservation, agro-ecology, pest and parasite control, agricultural machinery and technology.
- Contribute to development of strategic plans for Heinz agriculture department and ensure for implementation this plans.
- Ensure to increase the number of farms contracted and quantities of crop According to Heinz production plan. Responsible for developing and promoting for big number of chemical companies Crop Protection portfolio.
- Compliance with occupational safety, health and environmental protection rules in the site.
- Compliance with all responsibilities related to occupational safety, health and environmental protection specified by the Kraft Heinz.
Job Requirements
-
- More than 10 years field experience.
- Field experience with local farmers.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of agriculture and Heinz Global GAP and good agriculture practices.
- Experience working with the private sector.
