Job Description
- Maintain and configure the ADSL/Enterprise devices at the customer’s premises and ensure that the service is running efficiently and the customer is satisfied.
- In charge for some technical tools that are needed for performing his duties according to standards such as test router, RJs, cramp tool and cables.
- Ensure that the customer sign the acceptance report after installations to ensure that the connection is running according to customer required speed or there is a problem that should be solved.
- Escalate the maintenance problems that may require a higher technical expertise to the IT Specialist team Leader to ensure the prompt and proper solution maintaining a high standard of service.
- Receives the daily tasks requests directions, gets the needed technical data for the assigned tasks, and attend on time/location according to the case situation and technical action requirements.
- Performs the physical installation and troubleshooting and logical test using laptop at ONT units, to investigate the case and eliminate the connectivity issue.
- Performs the physical and logical connections troubleshooting needed at customer site to confirm Enterprise/Network connectivity performance.
- Performs a technical assessment for the case and communicates with the Engineer/Sr.Engineer to take any necessary actions in order to recover any connection issue.
- Confirms with Field Service Engineer/Senior Engineer the task completion or feedback with any other result.
- Handles any hardware replacement process at customer site with the Engineer/Sr.Engineer follow up.
- Updates the IT Team Leader periodically of any field activity done during the case troubleshooting and handling.
- Fill in the form as per MISP’s policies and procedures for travel petty cash needed for the availability in different locations within the country, and ensure the proper settlement of the travel allowance.
- Gives a full acceptance feedback report to the Sr.engineer/Principle Engineer about any new implemented WiFi Project site.
- Performs the needed joint visit with external vendor for troubleshooting any sophisticated Enterprise customer ( -Commercial /Hotels/ Business / Residentia /ADSL Customer/ WIFI…) to get the connection issue solved permanently.
- Performs the physical acceptance for the new installed Enterprise (( -Commercial /Hotels/ Business / Residentia /ADSL Customer/ WIFI…)) connection and gives a clear feedback to the concerned Senior/Principle engineer
- Participates in any Network element checkup and node survey in order to ensure the Network stability and high performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree must require.
- Minimum one year of experience with internet service provider or similar environment
- CCNA certified
- Good Knowledge in basic copper network ((Fixed Broadband Network operations.)
- Good Knowledge in SDH, WDM, EoSDH, NG-SDH Transmission Network Operations.
- Good Knowledge FTTx, DSLAMs,GPON,MSAN Access Network Operations.
- Good Knowledge of VOIP/IPTV/Wireless controller.
