Job Description
- Maintain appropriate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment installations, structural repairs and work orders and other operating reports for utilities equipment in the facility.
- Monitor completion of job assignments through frequent field observation and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and instruction and revises instructions and time frames as necessary.
- Responsible for training employees on equipment, task procedures, work standards and proper safety procedures.
- Provide engineering and technical services to support the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems.
- Work with the utilities manager to implement programs and projects aimed at achieving departmental mission and long-term objectives.
- Assist in the overall planning, organization and management of all aspects of utility operations, including general administration, budgeting, planning, and policy development.
- Work with field superintendents to ensure coordinated work assignments and project planning related to the operation, maintenance and construction of mechanical, water and wastewater systems.
- Work with the utilities manager to establish and implement well-defined emergency and contingency plans and procedures.
- Respond to utility emergencies as necessary.
- Oversees the preparation of plans and specifications, engineering studies, cost estimates, and material procurement.
- Compile information and projections to aid in the preparation of annual budget requests.
- Monitor established budget and utilizes authorized budgetary and purchasing procedure.
Job Requirements
- Education: University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Prior Work Experience: 7-10 years’ experience in the plants engineering utilities.
- Skills: PC skills (MS office package).
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English Language.
