Job Description
- Plan concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
- Design custom and innovative cover designs from start to finish on a daily basis
- Transform text heavy manuscripts into professionally formatted books without introducing errors to the manuscript
- Prepare finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
- Coordinate with outside developers, agencies, art services, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed and according to schedule.
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or related field
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & print
- Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design software.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
- Passion for creating books and e-pubs
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent eye for detail
