Job Description:

  • This position is responsible for implementing and acting to ensure compliance with company and Region HR policies.
  • This includes, but is not limited to hiring, recruitment and / or benefits processes, employee relations as well as supervising a variety of HR related projects and / or programs.
  • The position reports to the General Manager and is ideal for those with at least one year of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, are comfortable carrying out compliant HR programs and resolving issues.
  • This is a hands-on HR generalist, hiring and recruitment, managing leaves of absence and working on HR projects in support of business operations.
  • Local Candidates and those with management experience are preferred!!!

In this role, the HR Specialist:

  • Leads / supervises recruitment and hiring efforts for positions in assigned location(s); selects staff and provides orientation for new staff members
  • Maintains employee-related data bases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the office / Area. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
  • Administers employee benefit plans on the local level based on eligibility as defined by company programs and client contracts.
  • Participates in payroll administration.
  • Under the direction of General Manager, advises employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; assists management in performance management and regarding general human resources issues.
  • Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems; as directed, conducts employee counseling and disciplinary procedures.
  • Under the direction of HR management may lead a variety of HR related projects / programs which may require a variety of administrative tasks including producing reports, and tracking activity.
  • Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree and one or more years progressively responsible human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
