Job Description

  • This position is for fund-raising and financial management supervisor. There are two primary aspects of this position:
  • Fund-raising, and supervising financial management activities.
  • The fund-raising activities entail helping Egypt Scholars to grow the scale and impact of our programs through a focused and sustained fund-raising effort that provides direct funds to our programs as well as funds for ensuring the sustainability of the organization.
  • The post-holder manages all activities related to fund-raising and those supporting the fund-raising events including occasional volunteers and part-time consultants and holds responsibility for developing and delivering our fund-raising strategies.
  • The post-holder will be supporting setting realistic financial goals for the organization and will work with colleagues across the organization to ensure that challenging fundraising targets are met, that our contractual obligations with donors are adhered to with strong stewardship of these strategic relations, and that new donors are brought on board.
  • The role coordinates all types of fund-raising including statutory, philanthropy, private sector, trusts, and mass audience. It works directly alongside colleagues, themselves engaging with donors, to develop compelling proposals, and provide strategic support and direction for organizational and program fund-raising.
  • It also works throughout the organization to mobilize and align communications, media and advocacy activity to engage supporters.
  • The financial management activities involve establishing book-keeping procedures and ensuring that the organization complies with all legal and regulatory requirements regarding book-keeping and fundraising activities.
  • It also involves communicating from time-to-time with accountant to ensure timely and accurate filing of organization tax reports.

  • Preparing and giving presentations
  • Liaising with the fund raising volunteers
  • Overseeing events and campaigns
  • Overseeing an book-keeping requirements
  • Obtaining state authorizations to conduct fundraising activities
  • Establishing financial processed for monitoring and reporting on financial obligations to donors.
