Job Description

  • Supervises, implements and promotes alumni programs.
  • Follow up with admission dept. the introduction of alumni involvement in the admissions process; coordinate with the Dean of Student Services to plan the growth and accessibility of career networking services for students and alumni.
  • Organizes reunions for alumni members.
  • Arranges networking events.
  • Attends national and international events for alumni communities.
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of special events for alumni and serves as liaison SU’s Alumni Association.
  • Organizing Job Fairs and career development counseling for SU graduates.
  • Helps in creating fundraising campaigns.
  • Encourages donations to support bursaries, research and university development.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements alumni fundraising efforts.
  • Ensures accurate and complete alumni database records; captures contact, biographical and career information of alumni via surveys, projects (e.g. alumni directory), correspondence, website, postal returns, etc.
  • Establishes and builds relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, and print publications.
  • Coordinates alumni communications, including writing/editing of alumni newsletters and/or magazines.
  • Helps research, write, edit and proofread newsletters, fundraising letters, event materials and website pages.
  • Keeps the department’s media contact list up to date and is responsible for following up with media contacts after the college sends press releases.
  • Oversees and maintains alumni database.
  • Issues student graduation certificates, replacement certificates, and new copies of transcripts
  • Verification of education letters and academic references via the Alumni Relations Team

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent Command of English.
  • Good communication and customer orientation skills.
  • Strong facility and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Experience of university administration or marketing duties.
