Job Description

  • Interview, select, and train Warehouse personnel to ensure employees within the department are of the highest caliber; and create new positions to maintain continuous developments within the department.
  • Supervise, follow-up, and delegate the activities of storekeepers engaged in receiving and storing materials to facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Plan, develop, and implement Warehouse safety and security programs and activities to ensure all employees follow procedures that maintain safety measures.
  • Create department organization chart to maintain efficient work-flow.
  • Write and distribute rules and regulations concerning material storage to ensure all stock/material is stored in the right conditions and is correctly cared for (temperature, humidity, sun exposure etc.) with no damage.
  • Develop storage and distribution models that include factors such as warehouse locations, or available transportation modes, to maximize operational efficiency or sustainability and ensure locations are suitable for materials.
  • Coordinate with department heads the Warehouse activities, such as records control, or purchasing.
  • Issue shipping instructions to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated with suppliers.
  • Create new coding systems, procedures, and strategies to organize and manage stock to give detailed history on each material, ensure that actual stock is reflected in records, and that there are no shortages, damages or overstocking of material, and update all sites on available stock.
  • Create new format in procedural systems to ensure reports on each material is created efficiently and to create ties between the warehouse, logistics, procurement, and cost and planning processes.
  • Develop or implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement department to manage repair and tracking of tools in order to ensure that all equipment is fully functioning when needed, and to eliminate chances of missing tools.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • 15+ Years of relevant Experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
