Job Description
Le Garage Auctions, the market leader and pioneer of online auctions in Egypt, is seeking a self-learning, highly motivated, experienced professional to create the description of our products to be displayed on our daily online auctions.
Job description:
- Inspect the items before making the research.
- Make a research on the specific item via reading books in our library and/or via internet.
- Differentiate between original pieces and fake ones.
- Get all the physical information of the piece and record them.
- Make an estimate value of the piece (From:To)
- Do required tests to identify the material, a product made of.
- Reply on customer's technical inquiries in time.
- The area knowledge of the items which have to be researched are (historic furniture - lighting units - Jewelry& Gem stones - Silver - stamps & old money - watches & clocks - fine art - books & manuscripts - collectibles - home accessories - fabric & rugs) and the preferred candidate who has the most number of those area knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Academic certificate in a related field, preferred fine/applied arts graduates.
- Very good in English language to help in making the research.
- Productive and can work under pressure.
- Ability to make research and get information about new areas of knowledge.
- Organized.
- Self-learner.
- Self-motivated.
