Electromagnetic Device Design Engineer

• Cerebrus Corporation is a growing Engineering company with a wide range of products and services tailored toward the automation industry.
• As part of the growth, the company is currently looking to add to its growing line of electromagnetic device products and services.
• In doing so, Cerebrus is looking to hire an Electromagnetic Device Design Engineer who will be responsible for electromagnetic and mechanical design of various DC and AC operated devices.
• Creativity, teamwork and a passion for engineering design is a must.

Job Description:

• Develop concepts for new and innovative electromagnetic devices (solenoids, actuators, motors, etc.) for the automation industry
• Model and perform electromagnetic analysis in order to optimize certain variables within a design
• Utilize CAD software to model and design the various products in Solidworks
• Perform FEA analysis on the product designs to observe/improve the effect of heat and other factors within the design
• Provide mathematical models and excel based spreadsheets to aid in efficient design of electro-mechanical designs
• Run risk analysis on all designs and develop mitigation plans for risk factors beyond a given threshold
• Design in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001 design procedures and be able to clearly provide detailed design reports in English
• Develop engineering technical data packages and design transfer documents for manufacturing purposes
