Job Description
Main Duties:
- Verifies patients’ test results
- Monitors the performance of all chemists and technicians
- Trains new chemists on applied and new techniques to enhance their performance level.
- Decides appropriate action according to established protocols when critical values are obtained.
- Ensures Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
- Carries out evaluations and calibrations of procedures when required
- Records Q.C results and checks on validation.
- Ensures the implementation of the safety and health requirements
- Is capable of operating all automated instruments in a proper way
- Deals with troubleshooting of all automated systems.
- Maintenance and/or daily cleaning of laboratory equipment, work areas
- Follows up on inventory of reagent and report any shortage and/or expiry
- Accomplishes all the CAP & ISO duties as per the Q.A.D’s directives
- Performs all duties and responsibilities with an understanding of and respect for the patients’ rights.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Job Requirements
- Education M.B.B.Ch.
- Post Graduate Studies M.Sc. in clinical pathology/microbiology
