Job Description
Duties and responsibilities of a dermatologist
- They have to treat the skin and hair disorders faced by the patients that come to them
- Maintain records on all the patients as they come in handy for referral purposes
- Using laser machines.
- Injecting meso-therapy.
- Facial rejuvenation.
- Treat hair and face problems.
- Counsel patients on topics such as the need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection, skin cancer awareness, or skin and lymph node self-examinations.
- Conduct complete skin examinations.
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, dandruff, athlete's foot, moles, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
- They have to work other teams of doctors
- If the patient is suffering from cancer, the dermatologist will recommend chemotherapy and oversee the whole treatment
- They could perform cosmetic surgery, so they have tell the patient all about the surgery and educate them about the procedures
