Job Description
- To prepare and recommend Strategic Plans for the company’s agriculture operation
- To prepare the annual Opex & Capex budget
- To build the techno-commercial crop model by engaging closely with the agronomists, technical managers and engineering managers
- To develop the comprehensive framework for operating and managing Rental Farming Project complete with schedules, activity plans, resources, contractors, Bill of Material, costing, analysis, labor, transportation, equipment rentals, etc.
- To manage inventory of spares, fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, fuel, etc. Put a system for inventory management – ABC model, re-order levels, warehouse management, etc.
- To develop and manage the equipment & vehicle maintenance schedule in close coordination with factory engineering team
- To develop a comprehensive Vendor Management system including a complete list of bought out items & outsourced services, development of vendor database, evaluation parameters for vendor selection and performance criteria for monitoring services and supplies.
- Liaise with Central IT to develop and manage a robust crop monitoring system with software and hardware.
- Accurately track minute cost details of the company’s crops as well as competitor crops like potato, wheat, sugar beet, barley, etc.
- By end of every season – prepare the detailed pricing strategy for new season complete with costs, yields, competitor crop costs, the scope of work, recommended price, etc.
- Recommend technical, commercial and legal terms for contract farming and rental farming.
- Actively participate in contract farming and rental farming with growers and landowners.
- To build a strong association with critical government bodies like Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, Shirkit Reef, Ministry of Solidarity, etc. by liaising closely with all levels of officers, scientists, engineers, bureaucrats, etc.
- To keep track of latest developments in agriculture and agribusiness across public sector and private sector in Egypt and promptly update the top management
- To prepare the detailed techno-commercial assessment framework for evaluating investment opportunities or lease opportunities

Job Requirements
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Agriculture or Agribusiness in a techno-commercial role.
- At least 5 years of this experience should be in a Senior Planning role reporting to and advising the Chairman or Managing Director
- Preferably post graduate in crop management
- Very fast in calculations
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Email
