Job Description

Assignment Customer Support IKEA :

  • Customer centric strategy through:
  • Understand customer needs and be responsive and provide support as deemed required. • Being transparent and provide timely, accurate and complete information.
  • Follow-up on their requests and keep customers informed on their projects, requests and/or issues status.
  • Seek for better ways all the time to enhance IT department’s customer and leave an excellent impression.
  • Recommend a best fit cost effective solutions for any IT needs whether to modify existing functionality or adding and developing new Applications or functions as requested by respective departments.
  • I always provide clear picture and proper documentation of the proposed solution and training along with user manuals for specific user requirements.
  • Manage assigned project and select the right resource to deliver, according to project management best practices and according the IT policies and procedures. • Gather and document business requirements and prepare application design documents that would help in performing proper solution implementation. • keep customers in focus and priority while implementing, administrating, or changing the network infrastructure components and guarantee a satisfactory shopping experience.  • Invest my utmost efforts in supporting my company/subsidiaries sales plans, expansions and annual goals.

Commercial:  

  • Maintain the agreed availability levels and SLA in delivering the highest possible availability of all data center components including but not limited to virtualization components, SAN, 3PAR, backup jobs, tape library, backup restoration exercises as well as operating systems patching, Cisco and UTM components.
  • Design, build, enhance, upgrade data centers for all needed locations / subsidiaries including but not limited to capacity planning and redundancy of, power, cooling, firefighting, monitoring, racking, labeling, physical security, considering the highest industrial and company’s defined standards.
  • Documenting and controlling upgrade and incidents history for each component hosted inside the data center or supporting the datacenter in any mean being installed outside the data center.
  • Communicating with the products-application owners to facilitate the required HW-solutions and work together to deliver the technology infrastructure as a services.
  • Communicating efficiently with the involved and affected stacke holders in case of any required downtime or maintenance slots, as well as giving all the details of the affected services/applications, business impact, outage duration, documentation, planned actions as well as roll back plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting the datacenter components health through the dashboards and monitoring tools and act proactively on resolving-patching the defective  product and maintain a clean and justifiable monitoring reports within and outside official working hours
  • Developing and implementing data center operations procedures, routines, documentations, standards, logs.
  • All data center components warranty, licenses, certificates maintain, renewing and documenting.
  • Maintaining, Monitoring cloud hosted servers serving IKEA / subsidiaries business and documenting upgrade, incidents history considering the same standards and availability level of servers, application followed for on premises systems.
  • Developing plans to resolve any points of failure on the data center as well as developing the redundancy – DR solutions and knowledge bases.
  • The responsibilities of the candidate are centered on the data center infrastructure, networking and connectivity and to maintain a reliable and highly available accessibility to all services.
  • Responsible of maintaining the OS patches – service packs and releases of the hosted physical – virtual servers.
  • Responsible of datacenter equipment’s maintenance tasks such as patches management and maintaining the latest possible release of firmware - hot fixes on hardware level.
  • Maintaining physical mediums (UTP – Fiber Cables), Components and accessories (SFPs – Patch Panels - Modems) availability as well as maintaining and controlling the datacenter defined standards.
  • Maintaining assets and tracking behavior –versions history with a detailed level to each installed equipment.
  • Supporting different functions systems in areas of configuration and troubleshooting complex issues

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing domain networks / data centers
  • Microsoft windows servers and core infrastructure DNS,DHCP,DC knowledge.
  • Deep knowledge with WAN types, circuits setups, communication links, service provider scope, microwave connections, modems
  • AutoCAD drawing reading experience
  • Deep troubleshooting and incidents isolation skills
  • Basic Electrical – cooling standards knowledge.
  • Bachelor degree of computer science, engineering, MIS or equivalent degree
  • Cisco certified – CCNA – Microsoft certified MCSE
  • Experience with upgrades / migrations projects and maintenance window management as per the defined service level and polices.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic about work and working with others in a team
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own work to make efficient use of time available
