Job Description
Main Duties:
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Summaries current financial status by collecting information; preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Knowledge of computer applications, university accounting systems, and general financial applications.
- High level ability to remain focused, attend to detail, meet deadlines, and perform efficiently and effectively under pressure, as well as the ability to independently determine priorities
- Secures financial information by completing database backups
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years work experience in the accounting field
- High proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English
