Job Description
- Checking and dispensing of medications for inpatients in all hospital units.
- Using computerized system “SAP” to dispense checked drugs and creating medication orders in order to be prepared at the central pharmacy work station. (Daily)
- Presence of IP pharmacists inwards and ICUs that have pharmacy office for performing medication inspection in order to ensure safe medication use and correct delivery of medications to patients through the nursing team. (Daily)
- Dispensing newly added medications and admissions. (Daily)
- Preparation of TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) bags after receiving TPN request and revise its calculations and rate and printing its label.
- Preparation of Neonatal doses and TPN after revising calculations and printing its label.
- Dispense TPN on the system and document items added quantities and categories.
- Preparation of list of IV medications in BSC with positive pressure and labeling it.
- Dispensing of Narcotics for all hospital units except units having narcotics stock.
- Return of medication not administered by patients upon their discharge.
- Communicating with physicians for suggesting any modification in the prescribed doses, frequencies, and route that satisfies the goals of the verification process and ensures the success of the treatment plan. (Daily)
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and pharmaceutical science.
- Experience: Preferred experience in hospital pharmacy.
