Job Description

When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:

  • Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of the market and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • When it comes to the challenge of actually selling, other typical duties include:
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
  • Developing quotes and proposals
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
  • Work on sales follow-up activities
  • To keep healthy relationships with clients, this mostly requires socialization.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 2 -3 years of experience in the same field.
  • Education: A bachelor degree in business or any related field, but a proven background in business development may be sufficient
  • Certification(9):
  • Special Course(s): sales and marketing courses is advantage
  • Training: Any related training is a advantage
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Microsoft Office and associated programs, internet, telephone systems Microsoft Office and associated programs
  • Languages: English and French
  • Competencies: strong research and strategic analysis skills, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to cold call potential clients with confidence
