Job Description
When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:
- Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Researching the needs of the market and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
- Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
- When it comes to the challenge of actually selling, other typical duties include:
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
- Developing quotes and proposals
- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
- Work on sales follow-up activities
- To keep healthy relationships with clients, this mostly requires socialization.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Job Requirements
- Experience: 2 -3 years of experience in the same field.
- Education: A bachelor degree in business or any related field, but a proven background in business development may be sufficient
- Certification(9):
- Special Course(s): sales and marketing courses is advantage
- Training: Any related training is a advantage
- TECHNICAL SKILLS: Microsoft Office and associated programs, internet, telephone systems Microsoft Office and associated programs
- Languages: English and French
- Competencies: strong research and strategic analysis skills, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to cold call potential clients with confidence
