Job Description
- Study item movements in retail store taking seasonality into consideration. Assign restock levels and reorder points for all items on ERP system.
- Visit store to get a better insight on the market.
- Check for stock-outs in store in accordance with store manager and issue Purchase Orders on ERP and send it to suppliers
- Negotiate best terms with suppliers (discounts, credit facility, etc...) and coordinate with accounting department.
- Supervise the process of data entry and warehouse operations in terms of receiving, returns and exchanges, defected items and supplier accounts.
- Coordinate with warehousing and store management on expired or soon to expire products and work accordingly to avoid any governmental problems concerning this matter.
- Assign selling price for items in accordance with competition pricing and suggest promotions on slow moving items in coordination with the store manager.
- Constantly study competition pricing through in store visits and phone calls to suppliers.
- Introduce new categories of items and new suppliers through studying competition and market trends.
- Strengthen relations with suppliers and ensure that the company vision and values are properly communicated for easier business.
- Ensure all suppliers contacts are properly maintained and information is constantly updated.
- Provide all needed reports to the upper management.
