Job Description
- The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting.
- This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- The Accounting Manager supervises nine staff accountants and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
- The Accounting Manager will have contact with senior-level Attorneys and the firm’s Executive Director which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in accounting, CPA/ CMA will be considered as an asset.
- 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Giza Residency is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
- Work under minimal supervision and possess good supervisory skills
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases , ERP Systems.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
