Job Description
- Studying his project original contract drawings in coordination with PM, PCM, Coordinators.
- Checking of all types of drawings received from subcontractors and suppliers for coordination purposes.
- Establishes, reviews, and implement the schedule of drawings issuance prepared by the Planner in accordance with the schedule of submittals to avoid delays to the works in coordination with PM, PCM, and site planning engineer.
- Follows-up drawings issues with the concerned; clarifies with consultant, PM, PCM, coordinators, site subcontractors or through the PM and as required.
- Collects information at the required speed and early enough from the concerned to ensure that no delays will affect neither the works under process nor the next step of that work.
- Establishing drawings for temporary works to allow proper execution of site works when requested.
- Establishes detailed sketches to progress a work when requested.
- Establishing, revising coordinated drawings between companies’ scopes and others as required by PM/PCM/Coordinators.
- Incorporating Consultant/PM/PCM requirements in a drawing for onward submission, etc.
- Set the plot limits on AutoCAD according to the points handed over by Municipality and approved by the client/consultant including all grid lines in coordination with surveyors. This setting shall be used to establish all subsequent drawings/sketches/details up to the end of the project, including the as built drawings.
- Follows up the program of as built drawings issues as per the submission schedule prepared by and agreed with the PQM.
- Establishing an agreed system for recording the status of all drawings with the site PQM to comply with the Document Control system.
- Updating drawings as per client’s/consultant’s issued and agreed change notices/Variation Orders as instructed by the PM/PCM.
- Visiting the site and coordinating with PCM/PE/SE and surveyors to take notes of site conditions prior to establishing a further step drawing/sketch/detail.
- Establishing drawings for new proposals in coordination with consultant after PM and/or PCM acceptance.
- Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment.
- Consults with engineering personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for manufacturing and testing.
- Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most desirable.
- Advises company personnel, suppliers, and customers of nature and function of parts and equipment.
Job Requirements
- Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in Structural / Architectural Draughting for Buildings with large contracting companies.
- Must have excellent knowledge in AutoCAD
