Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for e Aswaaqmisr suite of applications used for core delivery of our services. This includes Financial Core System, Payment Systems, eCommerce platforms, and a Billing Platform.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the above-mentioned platforms and applications are operating effectively and efficiently with high availability by managing an IT operations team. Also will be responsible for managing development and customizations on these platforms by managing a team of developers who will be using Development SDKs and development tools.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (Backend developers, Development manager, QA engineer, Product Owners) oriented to continuous delivery
- Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Approves, prioritizes, and controls projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
- Defines and communicates corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
- Ensures offering applications and technology solutions that meet business requirements and drives business success through approving the policies, processes, and procedures controlling all related activities.
- Develops technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Discovers and implements new technologies that yield a competitive advantage.
- Manages technology partners responsible for Outsourced / managed services & evaluates their performance.
- Overlooks & manages Technology budget, projects & ensure efficient implementation within allocated budget & timeframe.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+years of experience
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Help maintain a high-level quality code by reviewing your teammates' code;
- Continuously improve our codebase, systems, and processes.
- Keen to learn new technologies and have ideas about how we can make things better;
- Being passionate, self-driven, and working with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose;
- Excellent communication skills and being able to work independently or in a full team
- A professional with 2+ years of front end web experience;
- Proficient with at least one widely adopted single page application (SPA) architecture;
- Vanilla Javascript and modern frameworks and platforms such as AngularJS, Ember, ReactJS, VueJS, and/or Node.js;
- Know module blunders and task runners such as Webpack, Parcel, Rollup, Browserify, Grunt, or Gulp;
- Semantic documents using HTML;
- Developing great user interfaces;
- Creating a testable code and make testing a priority;
- Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban;
- Passionate for coaching other engineers and building a strong team culture;
