Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Accountant to provide support to manage daily accounting tasks. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Follow up with payment due either from our customers or to our vendors
- Make payments and collections
- Handle bank deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Have an eye on cash flow to assure that we can handle our payments without problems
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Update financial data in our ERP (Odoo ERP) to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist with other accounting projects
Job Requirements
- BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Excellent organizing abilities
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (we will be using Odoo ERP)
