Job Description
- Configure and maintain production and corporate networks.
- Assist with administering and maintaining network infrastructure.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
- Ensure proper security controls meet standards and company policies.
- Perform and assist with network design, network capacity planning, monitoring, reconfigure, and tuning of network hardware.
- Configure and install new network equipment.
- Help maintain network hardware/software up to date.
- Maintaining current network configurations backups.
- Working with NOC in monitoring network health.
- Maintain proper cabling management and labeling in the data center facility.
- Participate in on-call schedule, and participate in off-hours changes to address service outages and scheduled maintenance windows.
- Perform and document network operation processes and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 year experience with Cisco Equipment (Routers, Switches, Firewalls), L2 switching, L3 routing.
- CCNA a plus.
- Experience with Citrix Netscaler and F5 BigIP is a plus.
- Has knowledge with most LAN and WAN architectures including VLAN, Spanning Tree, Fiber, Ethernet and Point-to-Point circuits.
- Understand network based ACL’s, HSRP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network management platforms and protocols such as SNMP, RMON, MRTG, Cacti, and NetFlow.
- Experience with sniffing hardware such as Wireshark
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Must work well with people both in and out of the group.
- Must be willing to learn via a class and/or personal study.
- Must enjoy working with network equipment and being a part of a team.
