In this role, you will be responsible for implementing a large-scale, high availability VMware environment.
As a VMware Developer, you will also be responsible for project based VMware consolidations, live migrations, and disaster recovery. You will also be responsible for providing high end support in large enterprise environment.

Job Description:

Take ownership of projects assigned and participates in the envisioned solutions.
Provide enterprise virtualization capability to install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure.
Provide planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi.
Plan and configure vSphere networking and storage solutions.
Develop plans for deploying and administering virtual machines. Establish and maintaining service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor vSphere implementations; and manage vCenter server alarms.
Provide Enterprise virtualization capability to install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure.
Configuring and managing virtual networks, configuring and managing virtual storage, and virtual machine management.
Provide input on data protection, access, authentication control, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance and scalable virtualized infrastructure.
Implement solutions that exceed SLAs and proactively identify ways to improve infrastructure

VMware VCP-DCA (Preferred) and/or current Microsoft based certifications.
Must have experience in large, highly available enterprise level virtualized environments / 2000 end users / 1000 virtual servers.
Experience with VMware VRROPS is required.
Experience with Hyperic Monitoring is required.
Experience with SRM is required.
Experience with VMWare NSX a plus.
Strong Experience utilizing Powershell scripting for virtualization automation.
Experience with Windows Server platforms including Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012.
Advanced knowledge of clustering services, load balancing and replication services.
Demonstrated experience in creating documentation of designs and solution.
Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles (Load balancing, High Availability, IPv4, etc.) is highly desirable.
Proficient with disaster recovery, implementation, troubleshooting and performance tuning is strongly preferred.
Experience with Data Center consolidation and virtualization.
Understanding of ‘Core Services’ like but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, Systems Management, Data Backup & Security, etc.
Experience with the Citrix XenApp running in a VMWare environment is a plus.
