Job Description
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and in-process inspection procedures across a variety of products.
- Develop, execute and analyze quality control methods, reporting procedures, and quality standards.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance.
- Establish and maintain a program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing.
- Develop and execute quality standards for documentation and reporting requirements.
- Monitor NCR (non-conformance reports) and corrective actions related to internal process review.
- Define customer return process and procedures.
- Design, implement, and maintain vendor quality standards in the receiving department for purchased parts, sub-contract parts, and material traceability.
- Record and maintain traceability of products by customer orders.
- Maintain internal calibration records.
- Review customer purchase orders and change requests and ensure that the necessary provisions are included in quality and process plans.
- Implement corrective actions to improve compliance with quality standards.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Review supplier's purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for quality control processes, materials, and testing procedures.
- Participate in the engineering and operations teams in continuous improvement initiatives for new process implementation and documentation control.
- Assist in process certification and achieve various certifications for as the need arises.
- Actively participate and collaborate with other members of the retail teams to support the overall objectives and growth strategies for new and existing products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years working in quality assurance.
- Prior experience in quality assurance role within a retail and wholesale facility
- Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
