Botany Researcher

Job Description:

• Research the anatomy and physiology of specific agricultural plant groups, as well as their affiliated pathogens, based on company strategy.
• Study the effects of temperature, humidity, light, and other environmental conditions on plant life processes in our system.
• Research how changes in our system design that affect the environment, can impact certain aspects of plant life.
• Identifying potential areas of research in line with improving or broadening agrimatic’s scope of operations.
• Conduct experiments on crop life to determine growth, oxygenation, nutrient composition, and nutrient intake patterns.
• Working with and providing support to the Research and Development team on different projects as assigned by management.
• Performing the necessary analysis to ensure crops comply with the export criteria necessary to enter the markets of interest.
• Documenting research results, as well as supervising and conducting experiments as per the supposed research plan.
• Occasional on-site duty as assigned by the management to participate, supervise, and/or analyze the agricultural process.
• Proposing plans to achieve conformity with the aforementioned standards and criteria.
• Maintaining proper documentation for all of the above.
  Attending various events with the company as required by the management.

Scope of Research Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Identification and characterization of different crops according to production plan.
• Identification of nutritional needs, environmental conditions, and best practices of agriculture of the aforementioned crops.
• Identifying/studying/developing new techniques that might boost the productivity, or growth, or quality of crops.
• Studying the internal dynamics of different plants.
• Choosing the best breeds of different plants.
• Studying possible integration of plant production with different microorganisms.
• Ensuring the compliance with export criteria for selected crops.
