Job Description

Assist the sales leads to purchase materials to store or sell. Ensure quality products with competitive prices in a timely fashion dealing with suppliers in various regions. He/She will be liaising between departments and suppliers, analyzing and comparing product prices, samples and negotiate procurement contracts 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential suppliers across the region and internationally, prepare and manage supplier selections and finalize commercial agreements, coordinating with budget holders and support functions
  • Secure goods and services through acceptable procurement practices in a timely manner and be able to deliver results in tight deadlines
  • Be instrumental in setting up new procurement & purchasing agreements with suppliers both regionally and internationally.
  • Evaluating supplier’s products within the region and other possible territories
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
  • Analyze and review company foreign supplier agreements including terms, payment, delivery & logistics to ensure efficiencies/cost reduction.
  • Produce all necessary reporting, reports on organizational readiness, and prepare necessary presentations for senior management and operations organization
  • Build and maintain market knowledge of trends and suppliers and maintain a strong working relationship with key suppliers both regionally and internationally
  • To execute innovative strategic sourcing processes and focus on delivering the best value to the business.
  • To build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and user communities across business units.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Min 3 years commercial experience in Procurement & Purchasing at a corporate level with regional and international supplier
  • Degree Qualified preferably in chemical
  • Strong understanding of Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Purchasing.
  • Excellent presentation skills with a keen ability to negotiate with suppliers regionally and internationally long term relationships and an ethical approach to business are essential.
  • Good computer skills in particular outlook and  Excel must be of a high standard.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential
  • Ability to digest and communicate efficiently with people having cultural differences
  • Ability to travel regionally & internationally as required.
