Job Description
Main Duties:
- Take part in market survey evaluating vendors for products material, machinery & finish quality level which is being documented in vendors evaluation & selection form. Searches the market for new valuable suppliers which assess present & future cooperation possibility.
- Take part in suppliers classification sheet in relation to products grade, production volume, price & quality.
- Revise all data received from all concerned parties and make sure that all data are sufficient to proceed tendering and procurement process.
- Participates in tendering process according to approved list of suppliers, prepares tender package & quotation request forms.
- Receive price quotations and participate in preparing price comparison sheets & price negotiation with suppliers.
- Participate in the preparation of furniture contracts according to approved furniture packages, time frame & budget.
- Participate in samples/shop drawings submittals & approval & coordinating with design team & suppliers.
- Participate in suppliers’ inspections to ensure that the progress is on the right track maintaining appropriate material quality within approved time frame.
- Following up with suppliers manufacture process, approving packing stage & coordinate items delivery with site team & project manager.
- Respond to suppliers’ enquirers & address the person in charge, follow up and maintain all needed documentation.
- Recording operator’s spare quantities list and follow up its delivery.
- Prepare a list of all participated suppliers for the entire project indicating field of practice.
- Handling some administrative correspondence, and participates in preparing projects actual cost sheets.
- Coordinate and manage hotel renovations or new hotels under construction with all parties ( consultants, site team and others ) to facilitate finalizing procurement on time and within budget
- Review project ID documents from concept stage to construction realization providing high quality product in target time with the required value engineer & minimum cost levels.
- Capabilities of Arch and ID design in house for small size hotel projects and requirements
- Handling a variety of furniture tendering & contracting activities concerning custom made metal furniture, fabrics & drapery works staring from market survey & tendering process, till the handing over process; besides acting as a project coordinator.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background & Qualifications: BSC of ID or Architecture Engineering.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years’ experience in Hotels field of designs and procurement.
- Computer skills: Perfect command of AutoCAD & Microsoft Office & internet, 3D and other graphic programs would be preferable.
- Language Skills: Perfect command of English (French is plus).
