Job Description
- Responsible for planning, executing, and reporting of internal audits over real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management business unites and across company subsidiaries. Key role is to conduct audits and support internal audit managers and head of internal audit in the following roles:
- Plan for the adequate IA annually with ensuring that key IA focus is based on a systematic disciplined approach that is “Risk Based” , effective and efficient; and that IA efforts are directed towards high priority and critical and high risks areas;
- Understand clearly the engagements’ scope and its proper communication to IA team members, Head of Internal Audit and auditees;
- Complete the engagements on time in line with the Head of Internal Audit approved IA plan, APM and announcement letters;
- Assure the IA quality and quality control across all IA domains for all types of engagements natures. Such as : Assurance, Consulting, Compliance, Fraud Investigations, Internal Investigations, Special Assurance and Consulting;
- Report clearly and high-quality of internal audit
- Archive IA and documents control in line with applicable local regulations;
- Execute and develop internal audit programs;
- Develop internal audit risk registers and internal audit risk control matrix;
- Ensure that subordinate IA team are developed, trained and their performance is appraised periodically, coached on the job , Ad-Hoc and upon completion of each engagement;
- Ensure that ethical standards are met in line with Company code of ethics, IIA code of ethics and IA manual and charter;
- Develop the IA KPIs and submission to Head of Internal Audit for review and approval;
- Monitor periodically the approved KPIs per the IA Manual;
- Provide the necessary support in overseeing the development of specific policies and procedures such as, whistleblowing, investigation, governance policies or any other policies where he possess the adequate level of experience and proficiency; based on the recommendations and as approved by the Head of Internal Audit;
- Ensure that proper segregation of duties are maintained within the IA team and that all necessary internal audit activities go through the appropriate “maker- checker” work flow
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of internal audit experience out of which 4 are in a in real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management internal audits;
- Construction experience is a plus;
- Strong knowledge of real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management industry governance, risk, and internal controls;
- Strong knowledge of real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management business processes, operating environment, and best business practices;
- Strong experience in internal audit engagement management, supervision, and control;
- Strong knowledge in internal audit methodologies and approach;
- Strong knowledge of internal audit real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management audit programs and knowledge resources;
- CIA / CPA or equivalent is a plus;
- Fair knowledge of the Egyptian local regulatory requirements of real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management companies;
- Strong experience in internal audit analytics relevant to real estate and/ or sporting clubs , Malls operations, hotels, fleet management industry;
- Fair knowledge of SAP ERP system.
