Job Description

  • Handle all logistics activities of export and import materials, spare parts and gold shipments. 
  • Search and evaluate potential vendors and supplier 
  • Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI 
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases 
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers 
  • Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply 
  • Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality 
  • Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time 
  • Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and evaluation of suppliers
  • Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs 
  • Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested 
  • Collaborate with financial team members on POs, contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters
  • Forecast price trends and market situation regularly and review their impact on future activities 
  • Awareness of new customs’ regulations/systems 
  • Reviewing and confirming all the customs forms and costs to save company rights
  • Making sure that all foreign trade transactions are cleared from the customs by making the declarations in accordance with laws and company procedures stated in the related Legislation, Legislative decree, and regulations, and with no risk for the company. 
  • Selecting and proposing the best custom brokerage suppliers (3PL) and making sure that they are working according to the SLA agreed, maintaining optimum time and contract prices. 
  • Preparing all customs clearance and shipping documents, checking the documents prepared by customs agent, 
  • Making archiving, arranging and closing the files in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Checking all expense invoices related to Foreign Trade (Importing and Customs Agents) in accordance with price agreements, refusing the invoices that are not respecting the agreements and informing suppliers in due time. 
  • Checking the country legislation and regulations related to import and export and communicating the related department in Head Office of the changes. 
  • Obtaining (if needed) any authorization/license/certificate for importing the goods and being responsible for full compliance of certificates. 
  • Organizing distribution of goods from import ports to the main warehouse 
  • Preparing daily/weekly reports about performance 
  • Participate in setting new internal processes and implementing an automated system for the procurement and logistics cycle.

Job Requirements

  • Bsc. degree of Business Administration, logistics or any relevant field. 
  • 8 years of experience in foreign purchasing and logistics is required. 
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing is a must. 
  • Previous experience in import and export companies is a plus. 
  • Strong experience in custom clearance and purchasing. 
  • Very good command of English language. 
  • Obour, Al-Shorouk, Heliopolis, 5th settlement or nearby residents.

  • Strong follow up skills. 
  • Detail oriented and has a wide range of connections
