Job Description
- Establish Tactical Procurement Objectives aligned with strategic organizational objectives
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- To lead the development and implementation of procurement policies and systems to support tendering, contracts management, spend analytics and supplier performance management.
- conduct procurement plans and forecasts and estimates procurement budget
- Establishing and managing future demand and capacity planning including the development to supplier risk management
- Facilitate the development of relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Preparing procurement reports and dashboards.
- To ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in regard to the respective Procurement Policies and external requirements and implement strategies that safeguard the Company and commercial & business risks.
- To lead and motivate staff and ensure that they receive appropriate support, training and development to achieve their potential
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- 10 to 15 years of sounds experience in large commercial distribution and logistics with preference given to pharmaceutical background
- MBA (Supply Chain / Business) or Qualified purchasing professional (MCIPS) is a plus
- CLTD
- CSCP
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
- Detailed knowledge of Egypt procurement legislation, supplier and contract management.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
